All male members of the club aged 55 and over are eligible to join the Seniors’ Section for a £5 annual subscription fee. We believe we are one of the friendliest Seniors’ groups in the area and offer a varying format of games to encourage you to join our club. We welcome new members at all levels age eligible from within the club including “New2Golf” members who are seeking to achieve a handicap. The Seniors’ are also more than happy to mark cards for members who currently do not have a recognised handicap.
Other games include…
Away Days, Seniors club club trophy competitions, Two AM-AM games with the Ladies section, Christmas Lunch and AGM and a number of matches against local clubs.
We meet every Monday and Thursday around 8.00am in the summer months March to October and 8.30am in the winter months November to February.
Just turn up in the clubhouse to be allocated playing partners and tee time. Tees are blocked booked for Seniors from 8:30 (summer) and 8:57 (winter). Entry fee is £1, with prize(s) to the winner(s) of credit to their bar card account.
Most seniors either enjoy a coffee before playing and/or drink afterwards and debate the if onlys and buts of what could have been in their round!
We play 18 weekday inter-club matches between March and October each year. Everyone is eligible to play – just put your name on the entry sheet on the Seniors’ notice board. It’s a great way to experience a variety of local courses and make friends with members from other clubs.
