Our second nonagenarian of the year celebrates in style

Mold Golf Club’s John Delahoy, who has been a member of the Club for 46 years and is a Past Captain and Past President, has celebrated his 90th birthday in style. Playing friends from the Mock Alliance, who meet at the Club on a Wednesday, surprised John with a cake, a giant card signed by everyone and a celebration at their Christmas party on December 15th.

John, a long-time single figure player, who now plays off a handicap of 20, is a regular in mens’ competitions and enjoys much social golf too. Club Manager Debbie Barton said: “John is a wonderful member of our Club. He plays regularly, looks fantastic and has so much energy. We all wish him a very happy birthday and many happy returns.”
